Jersey Boy Adrian Avena wins stop 5 of the MLF Bass Pro Tour

We couldn’t be happier or prouder of Grundéns Ambassador Adrian Avena for winning the fifth stage of the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour on Cayuga Lake. Competing in a stacked elite field with the top Bass anglers in the country, his five best fish tipped the scales at 28 pounds 10 ounces on the final day to propel him to his first career win and a payday of $100,000.

Adrian fished with a vengeance, weighing 20 bass for 105 pounds over the four-day smallmouth bass event to capture his first MLF Bass Pro Tour win. This year’s stop at Cayuga Lake could go down as one of the greatest smallmouth bass tournaments ever, with five pros breaking the 100-pound mark over four days.

His choice of winning footwear, the Fishfinder Sandal, takes sandalized comfort to new heights. With an anatomically-molded footbed, the new Fishfinder delivers versatility and support for all anglers. The SeaDek® EVA footbed and lugged, razor siped gum rubber outsole delivers all day comfort and traction on wet surfaces. Paired with the Gaff Pants, a nylon spandex blend pant with a durable water-repellant finish, Avena was able to hoist his first MLF Bass Pro Tour trophy. Nicely done Adrian, proud of you!
