Chuck Ragan, front man and guitarist of the popular American post-hardcore punk band, Hot Water Music, is a passionate musician who – besides leading a life on tour – is a family man at soul and enjoys more than anything time spent on the water. While living out a musician’s lifelong dream in a successful rock band has its rewards, life on the road takes its toll on mind, body, and spirit.
Together with his wife, Jill, and the birth of their son, Gradey, Chuck’s priorities shifted to being home with his family and building a life surrounding his passion for fishing by becoming a professional guide. Chuck’s journey led him to Grass Valley, California for a piece of the slower life in a fly fisherman’s paradise. Through it all, Chuck found a means of balance in working hard to build something he loves in his guiding business, being a focused father and family man, all while maintaining his duties as front man to the iconic rock band and his solo music career.
This is the story of Chuck Ragan – man, musician, father, and fisherman who understands that what you get in life is all about what you give in life.
